The first one I make will have long sleeves, because we are in winter here in South Africa, but I will be making a couple of short sleeved ones as well for summer.
I like this dress: It has sleeves and is simple, but defined with the wide belt. I probably wouldn’t go with tiger stripes across my plump body, but something more than a just plain solid.

Also, try putting tape on the machine and follow the tape edge so you can sew straighter. Practice makes perfect. You might also try sewing more slowly and deliberately until you get used to your machine.
You have to remember that it’s not a race and take your time to enjoy yourself, and practice a lot. My grandma taught me to sew on news paper following the print, and now 20 years later, I actually enjoy the structured environment of a new pattern and sew other things besides dolls to relax from a hectic day.

You agree that you will not submit Materials that are unlawful, pornographic, libelous, defamatory, tortious, obscene, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable, or that otherwise violate general Prime Publishing community standards.
We expressly reserve the right to remove or not make available any Materials that we deem to be in violation of this Agreement, applicable laws or our community standards in our sole discretion.
You agree that you will not upload, post, e-mail or otherwise transmit Materials to us or our Affiliates that contain software viruses or any other computer code, files, or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
