It fits modestly and would be appropriate for work. If I had wanted a more va-va-voom effect, I could have gone down a size. The material is stretchy but thick, making it very flattering.

I thought that I might need a size 12, but the 10 fits and is complimentary to my “muffin-top” figure. The fabric is stretchy, but not clingy and the design is very pretty.

I sent it back. Another well made Maggie London dress. Love that it has sleeves and that the length is a bit longer for those of us who haven’t been 25 years old for a very long time, or who like to sit down without having to hold onto the hem of our dress!
I bought this dress to wear to a memorial service, but it is appropriate for any occasion. It’s beautiful, classy, and sexy all at the same time.
Be advised that is you wear Spanx that the lining in the dress clings to the Spanx. This is my only complaint about Maggy London’s brand. Otherwise, the quality of the fabric and the construction are always excellent.
