I arrived here around AM on Monday morning and the place was really busy, parking lot almost full. All the stools at the counter were occupied by the local seniors.
I sat myself at an open table nearby. Sorel’s Diner up the road is closed on Mondays and that probably explains why Jean’s Place was so busy on Monday.
My waitress came over to my table within seconds and took my drink order. I took a few moments to decide what I wanted. The food came out quickly.
The food was very good tasting. The pancakes were soft and very moist inside, topped with sugar strawberries and lots of whipped cream.
The 2 grilled sausage links were very thick and juicy. The home fries with onions were grilled golden brown, but were very greasy.
The portion of food was generous and I could not finish my breakfast I got a to go box.

Inside, the place was filled to the brim, mostly with older locals. They still managed to quickly find us a table in the smallish place. Breakfast was quite good, my partner’s western omelette large, fluffy, and chock full of ham and onions inexplicably absent were the standard green peppers.
My breakfast sandwich and home fries hit the spot. The fare is comfort food, well made for a small diner, but nothing extraordinary.
The price is right, very affordable, and if you are traveling between southern VT and upstate NY, so is the location.

Excellent service – Jean and her team are great. They must get up at two in the morning because they are on top of their game atwhen I’m still groggy.
Food – decent, the quality is not great thin bacon, toast is too buttered, weak old man coffee, ect. When I’m on my way to school in the morning and want a bite of salty, greasy breakfast this is the place to do it.
